Although my family members aren't officially hired "child care staff" they are an important part of my child care program. Rest assured, however that ANY adult that is on-site has met ALL requirements of MN child care licensing, including criminal background checks.
Here are some faces you may see on a regular basis.
My husband Steve is a regular presence in our day. He serves many roles within the child care. He is our maintenance man, our resident contractor, farmer, food prepper, field trip assistant, fort builder, jokester and all around "Fun Guy".
Growing up with 4 brothers of his own, he understands how important socialization with other children and siblings can be.
Steve has many years of experience working with children as he grew up in a child care family. His mother owned and operated a 24 hour childcare most of his early years. This gives him a unique insight into not only being part of the business side of owning/operating a child care but also what it means to be a child attending daycare on a regular basis.
My daughter Ryan will make an appearance now and then depending on her schedule. She is currently a nursing student going to school and living in Duluth, MN. During school breaks and holidays, she will usually be a common presence at the daycare.
Ryan is awesome with kids and they are naturally drawn to her. Much of her early elementary years were spent among "friends" in our daycare. She has also spent countless hours outside of child care babysitting for the families enrolled. Something she still does when in town.
She is patient, kind and very helpful in all aspects of our daily routines.
My son, Brady is also a regular here. Most days you can find him shoveling the sidewalk, mowing the lawn, taking out the trash or playing outside with the kids.
Currently Brady is a student at Lake Superior College and living in Duluth, MN
Brady is a quiet young man but is always willing to help. He has a big heart and a very caring nature.
